Adrienne, at the age of 5, felt the connection to the modeling industry, whether it be magazines or television. As the years progressed, they could never shake the feeling of knowing that’s where they belonged. As they came into their own and knowing they didn’t fit the binary mold, they realized there weren’t many people who looked like or identified as Non-Binary. Certainly not many Latino, Non-Binary individuals or models. They weren’t sure how they were going to do it, but they knew the importance of representing a range of people who weren’t the “typical” model, because they’re not. They weren’t ever going to fit in, so why not stand out?
For 3 years, they worked for that dream (that never left) they had as a child and don’t intend to stop towards building a better future where everyone is included. Through battles with anxiety and depression, being harassed and physically assaulted for their gender identity, they plan to still prosper for the child they once were who never got to see someone like them represented in the media and for those who never felt seen.
