BIOGRAPHY
Damaris is based in Queens, NY and she was born with Spina Bifida (Meningocele) with other complications. She loves to travel whether it is local or abroad. Her fondest memories are traveling to Upstate New York to see the waterfalls and buying apple cider donuts. She is a thrill-seeker too. Every time she visits a new country, she is looking to do excursions to fuel her adrenaline. This October 2022, she went parasailing at Isla Saona in Dominican Republic. As for her profession, she is working as a part-time data assistant for afterschool in Harlem. She received her bachelor's in psychology, and wishes to pursue her career into analytical data. During her time at York College, Damaris and her colleagues secured a five-year grant from CUNY and NY State to repair the escalators and elevators at their campus. She has attended hearings and town-halls to express the lack of accommodations and services her classmates have been receiving from City-Wide CUNY campuses. If there is one word to describe Damaris, she is multipotentialite. She has many passions and hobbies. It's difficult to pinpoint what she is doing next. She loves to draw, sew, crocheting, knitting, and embroidery. She is always trying out the next makeup trend, or doing adaptive sports on weekends. Damaris's dream is to visit Italy next october, so she is learning Italian.
