Shendel was born with a very rare and mild case of cerebral palsy. With this, she has equally struggled and triumphed throughout her life. Shendel has two Bachelor of Arts degrees in both PR and Advertising and legal studies, dedicating her expertise to both disability representation in media and society, focusing on trailblazing in the fashion and beauty sectors. She has hands on experience working for various LA PR firm’s ad law offices and currently runs social media for a recruiting firm working exclusively with young adults with disabilities.

Her goal with this opportunity is too not only represent those with disabilities but, also used her newly given platform to inspire those struggling with their disability and show that disabilities or differences should never hold you back and there is immense power, importance, inspiration, and acceptance in being yourself. In her free time, she immerses herself in pop culture, speaks 3 languages, volunteers for a non-profit, travels, and participates in various events to positively impact the disabled community.
