Olivia was raised to be a strong and independent girl. She grew up with an extremely supportive family, always telling her how beautiful she was, even though she was different. Olivia always knew she was different. I mean, she could tell. Her arm was twice the size as anybody else's her age. But her other arm was normal. Olivia's parents found out about her disability when she was only a couple months old. When she was first born, doctors had thought that it was just a small bruise in her inner elbow. After a couple specialists. They had found out what it was. A venous vascular malformation. Though she was different. She was never treated differently. She still had plenty of friends in school. And the friends she had never said anything about her arm. Of course they would ask if I was all right. And would ask what it was. They never treated her any differently either. Olivia grew to love sports. She would always watch them on TV with her dad. Olivia had played Field hockey. She did cheer. And she loved gymnastics. She always knew she was good at them. She always loved to do the splits and tried and failed many times to do cartwheels. Olivia always knew. That if she stuck to something, she would be the best. When she was 13. Olivia had to move schools. And believe it or not, the only thing she was nervous about was the fact that the new school didn't have a cheerleading team. She didn't think once about her arm and what people would say about it. When it was her first day. Everyone came up to her asking her what it was, but she didn't feel overwhelmed. She was used to people asking about it, and she was used to getting stares in public, but she never minded. She would put herself in their shoes. And wonder what it was like to see something that noticeable? After about the first month in the new school. Everybody already knew what it was, and once again life continued as normal. She was lucky enough to never be bullied in school. Personally, I think her personality outshined her disability. Olivia has grown strong. She had to grow strong because she was different. And not everybody can deal with being different. As Olivia grew up. She decided. That she wanted to show people. That even though we may not look normal. We still live lives, just as everybody else does. She started a tik Tok account in 2019.And people were absolutely amazed with her confidence and the ability to speak on what she had. She loved to tell them. What it was and informed them that though it may look scary, it's OK. Through tik Tok she had met many others like herself with very similar disabilities. And she was able to connect with them. And show them. That it's OK to be different. Olivia's favorite thing is helping people with their confidence and struggles. Her biggest goal in life? Is to be a model to be on the front page of a magazine, so that little girls and boys .Can see someone that looks like themselves. Because Olivia never had that experience that she wanted so bad growing up. To look up to somebody that looked like her.
