Born in Bavaria, Patrick holds a Master’s degree from the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and the University of Georgia (Athens, GA). He founded a software company approximately 10 years ago, which remains in business in Munich, Germany.
In 2015, he relocated to California, where he remains the only member of his family residing there. In 2017, his sons, Xaver and Sebastian, fraternal twins, were born.
In 2019, he sustained a spinal cord injury in a motorcycle accident in San Diego, CA. He has used a wheelchair since the accident.
Patrick currently volunteers for the Triumph Foundation, assisting with digitalization, business process optimization, and marketing. He is also exploring the possibility of establishing this as his own business (see xfoldconsulting.com).
