He ran a marathon for breast cancer in 2016 and, in 2019, set 11 world records in one year with the World Association of Bench Press and Deadlifting (WABDL) www.wabdl.org, representing the USA.
Asif became a US citizen in 2022.
Currently, Asif continues training and has applied to the Paralympics for powerlifting classification.
