Born in a small town called Rancho Cordova in Sacramento on February 7th 1989. Da’John DeWitt began his fashion career at an early age of 4, where he would pretend to wear women’s clothing, strutting up and down the hallway with orange painted nails pretending to be on a runway.
He is the youngest of 6 to a single mother named Josephine. Raised in a traditional middle class American family, he was very misunderstood, by his family and peers often times labeled as “fag” or “smeer- the- queer” which discouraged “Quing” (Da’John Dewitt) from embracing himself fully; until his latter years.
In 2017 Faith would have it he would indeed pick up his child hood flamboyance. One day while shopping in a grocery store he was noticed and approached by a local photographer, they would be his/her first break into the modeling industry.
Since then, he has travelled the world strutting the runway in front of crowds of supporters, has been published in the likes of Vogue, Moevir Paris magazine and dozens more international magazines.
“Quing” Da’John Dewitt loves his community, and gives back by creating opportunities in the fashion industry which include coordinating fashion shows, and directing photo shoots for aspiring lgbtqia models.
“Fashion has helped me heal and reconnect with my culture and androgyny, my vision is to help heal my community.”
Da’John’s hobbies include: gardening, playing basketball, cooking and dancing.
“Self care is very important to me, and is an essential part of my day.”
