Am often socialising with my Deaf friends whenever I am not busy with work, family and commitments. Most recent experience: Maltesers advert April 2018-2019. Featured alongside my Deaf husband talking about our first date. I spoke and signed. British Airways cabin crew training video July 2019. 

I presented in spoken English alongside a BSL presenter on Deaf Awareness. Disability: I am profoundly deaf, bilingual/bimodal in spoken English and British Sign Language. I use a cochlear implant to aid my listening where possible.

Martine has been in  BBC See Hear videos, British Airways - presenting in BSL on access , BSL Zone - presenting work on deaf education as well as acting in the Maltesers | First Dates and Forever Dates commercial.

MENTOR/CONSULTANCY

I do consultancy work within my job role as an Advisory Qualified Teacher of Deaf Children and Young People & being Deaf myself with a vast range of lived experience with hearing aids / bone conduction/anchored hearing aids, cochlear implants (I wear one). I am bilingual bimodal; I use BSL and spoken English. I am used to training others, raising awareness and delivering talks and presentations on a regular basis in all things ‘deaf’.
