Yasmin Dawes is a Midlands - born creative whose journey has taken her as an actor in theatre, and screen to the world of modelling, championing visibility and diversity in the industry. With a background in performance, Yasmin trained at Rose Bruford College in London and Syracuse University in New York, touring extensively across the UK as an actor. However, her journey has been far from conventional.

Living with chronic eczema resulting in skin tone variations, Yasmin has experienced firsthand the challenges of embracing her natural self in an industry that often prioritises perfection. From struggling with anxiety in makeup chairs to confidently stepping in front of the camera, Yasmin’s path has been one of resilience, healing, and transformation. She has learned to love the skin she’s in, adopting a holistic lifestyle that has helped her overcome the physical and emotional toll of her condition. 

As a model, Yasmin is passionate about redefining beauty standards and celebrating individuality in size, shape and skin. She is committed to using her platform to promote self - acceptance, diversity, and representation for those who don’t see themselves reflected in traditional media. Her experiences have fuelled a desire to share stories that inspire others to embrace their uniqueness.

Beyond modelling, Yasmin is a writer, creative facilitator and finds joy in staying active by running and connecting to her community. Whether pounding the pavement on solo runs or fostering connections through creative and innovative projects, she believes in the power of movement, words and collaboration to uplift and empower.
