Jess is a bubbly and bright person; she is known for her big smile and she thrives in many different environments. She has many different conditions most of which are related to her Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, which has led to her being artificially fed into her bloodstream as well as experiencing difficulty with many other organ systems. Despite this she has achieved a lot in her life so far. She has always enjoyed academic work which culminated in her getting a BSc in Children’s Nursing, she qualified in March 2020 and she has since worked as a Paediatric Nurse with children who have Cardiac conditions. She has also started her Masters qualification in more recent years. Throughout her life she has had an interest in the performing arts, comp leting her Grade 8 in Vocals and Musical Theatre. From the age of 2 until she turned twenty -five, she did many different genres of dance, as well as gaining some experience in acting during this time. In her early teens, she started competitive Cheerleading, Lyrical and Pom dance. She regularly competed with her team at many competitions around the country at regional and national levels. In 2018 she won a gold medal at the Cheerleading World Championships, in Orlando, in ParaCheer Freestyle Pom Dance. She competed against teams from all over the world on a unified team with a mixture of disabled and able-bodied athletes, this is one of her biggest achievements to date. She had to stop doing regular cheerleading and dancing due to her health in 2022 but moved onto coaching, which she loved doing as she is really passionate about working with children and young people in lots of areas in her life. The most important thing in her life by far is her family, she got married to her husband Caleb in 2023, they have been together since they were 16 years old. They also have a Miniature Dachshund named Bruno and a beautiful one-year-old daughter called Clara, she loves spending days together as a family. She started doing social media as a hobby, mainly as a way of telling her story to others, raising awareness and helping be an advocate for others. Since then it has gradually taken off and she has spent the last few years trying to grow her social media, amassing a following of over and posts a wide variety of content relating to disability, lifestyle, motherhood and everyday life. She hopes to one day make content creation her full time job, and she is excited to start modelling alongside this as part of Zebedee!
