I am from Atlanta GA, USA. I was in a car accident when I was 6 years old which left me paralyzed from the waist down and permanently using a manual wheelchair. I was always active before my injury, so I resumed sports as quickly as I could and found my love, wheelchair basketball. I have been playing ever since, and I went to the University of Illinois on a basketball scholarship. I always wanted to explore other parts of the world, so I moved to London in 2020 to pursue my other passion and get my master’s degree in occupational therapy. While in London, I now play basketball for East London Phoenix. I now work for a charity geared towards providing mentorship, enlisting necessary life skills, and encouraging confidence for girls with disabilities to live to their fullest potential.
When I am not playing basketball or working I love to travel and explore new cities and cultures. I love going to go see live music whether that be going to go see my favorite artist in concert or going to live music nights at random pubs and venues I see around London. I also enjoy being artsy and creative when I can be at home doing all types of arts in crafts, from crocheting, pour painting, pottery, any type of DIY, and learning new things. I also really enjoy going to charity shops and looking for vintage clothes, recycled quality clothes, and curating outfits. Lastly, the outdoors is my happy place. I love staying active, going for hikes, kayaking, mushroom searching, scuba diving, any other activity I can learn, or just enjoying the sunshine during a picnic with friends.
