Amanda was born with a condition resulting in a facial (visible) difference) and missing fingers.
Amanda is an Ambassador for the charity Changing Faces and supporter of the Cleft Lip and Palate Association. She has carried out a range of media work for and with them to raise awareness of visible differences and to challenge the prevailing stereotypes around beauty.
Media work includes being interviewed on BBC World (live) and Channel 4’s Steph’s Packed Lunch (live) as well as ITV Meridian News and BBC South East News.
She was thrilled to receive a personal invitation from RANKIN to be photographed and written about in a piece called What is Human Beauty? (Rankin)
Amanda has a PhD in Applied Psychology and works in health and social care research as well as delivering Disability Equality training to a range of organisations.
As a result of these various experiences, Amanda is both confident and comfortable in front of a camera and enjoys meeting and working with a range of people.
In terms of availability and flexibility, Amanda is used to travelling to London and beyond for work and other appointments. She also works flexibly and part-time so can be responsive to castings.
Amanda’s hobbies include interior design, dance, reading and the theatre.
