Ffion was born in 1998 in Shrewsbury. She was born with no limb below the left elbow and therefore has been disabled her whole life. From a young age she started swimming and her talent in the sport led to her competing in national and international competitions. She won Welsh Disability Sportsperson of the Year in 2012 and has won the Montgomeryshire sports award multiple times. She was also selected to be in member of the Jaguar Sports Academy where she was mentored by the likes of Dame Kelly Holmes and Sir Chris Hoy.

As well as thriving in a sporting environment, Ffion excelled in academia. Upon receiving outstanding GCSE and A Level results she completed her degree in Geology at the University of Birmingham. During this study she also went on a year abroad to Dublin.

On reviewing her degree she went to work at Newtown High School, specialising in work in the wellbeing department. This sparked an interest in child psychology and she has just finished her MA in Psychology at Cardiff University.

In her spare time, Ffion enjoys Film and TV and is especially interested in K-drama. She also likes scrolling on TikTok and spending time with her cat, Kate.
