When Ellie was 17 her life changed forever when she was diagnosed with a Ewing Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. She had 14 rounds of chemotherapy, 32 rounds of proton therapy and an operation removing her left hip and pelvis. Her operation left her with a limp and she now requires a walking aid.

Illness as a young person is isolating and can throw you off course. Despite this, Ellie continued life as normal, obtaining a degree in Liberal Arts from Kings College London the same time as her peer’s.

Now 23, Ellie is a stylish and confident young woman. In her spare time, she loves to attend dance classes in a range of styles (something she thought she wouldn’t be able to do again), go out with her friends and find new recipes to cook.

For Ellie, modelling with Zebedee lets her embrace disability, turning her experience of Cancer to a positive one.
