Macey is very active and loves to Dance. She trains and competes in Ballroom and Latin

American dancing in medallist, Pro-Am and Open competitions. In November 2023 she

competed in the Grand Finals in Blackpool Winter Gardens placing 5 th in Ballroom and 2nd

in Latin out of 37 children in her age group. Her teachers have also given her the

opportunity to enter a partnership with a boy the same age and they are making great

progress. She loves dressing up in all the lovely dresses, having her hair done and being

able to wear a bit of make up.

She has two older brothers who play football and loves to join in with them. Despite her

challenges she likes to get involved and won’t let it stop her from giving it a go. Macey

really enjoys drawing and colouring and is also left handed.

Macey was born with the rare condition Pierre Robin Sequence. She was born with a cleft

palate which has been repaired and had 3 operations on it. Due to this she has been tube

fed since she was born and struggles to gain weight. She now has a mini button in her

stomach for milk feeds and water feeds due to growth, weight gain and kidney condition.

She can eat orally just struggles to eat enough to gain weight.
