PRIDE 2022
Taking the colours of the rainbow as our inspo for our glorious 2022 Pride shoot.
We commissioned beauty photographer Alice Webb to take these stunning portraits of some of our talent in our LGBTQIA+ division.
We would also like to introduce stunning new faces Mimo & Meshi.
MODELS:
Mimo (They/them), Meshi (They/Them) Junior (They/Them), Georgina (She/Her), Brinston (He/Him) , Sonny (They/The/He/Him), Ned (He/Him).
Here is what the models have to say about their Pride:
"Pride to me means acceptance and being able to exist in a space that’s truly mine. I feel extremely validated and understood when surrounded by queer people, that's why these spaces are necessary to have access to. Celebrating pride honours all the hardships you have to experience as a queer person and I can't wait to celebrate in 2022!!" Mimo
“Pride to me means being exactly who you are supposed to be. It means being able to express your heart without a worry whilst being surrounded with the love that everyone deserves to experience. Pride is safety, its comfort, it's finding a place where you belong. There is beauty, hope, & acceptance - especially for those who aren't able to come out yet. It's a chosen family for those who aren't accepted within their own. To me pride is home.
Junior.
"Pride 2022 marks a year since I came out so it’s a special one for me. One year since I fully accepted my sexuality and found who I was. I spent so long ignoring the signs (that now looking back on them were so obvious) and put focus on health first but in that process I didn’t realise who I was. So it may have taken me almost 22 years to realise I was gay but once I did, I embraced it." Georgina
“ in this time and days when everything I say and do is judged with a hammer, Pride is one of the only thing that still maintains that sense of liberty and freedom “ Brinston
" It's 2022 and Pride is here. This year is full of life, excitement, anxiety and Pride! This year is my first to come out and say I'm trans. So not only is Pride 2022 a celebration of love, acceptance and community Pride, but also the celebration of my personal journey of being authentically me.
Pride celebrations in the media shows people all over the world that they are seen and heard, and that there is always hope and joy." Sonny
"Pride is a sense of belonging and a time to come together where all genders and sexualities unite and celebrate. A time to fully embrace your authentic self and feel part of a community." Ned
"Pride means something different now than it did when I was young. When I was young I knew I belonged but didn't know why, now I'm in queer spaces I understand what it means for me to be queer and I feel ownership of my queerness, that's my pride." Meshi
