Rosan is the kind of person that one may call an open book. As they know they may differ from the norms set by society but they have grown to see themselves for who they truly are. Yes, they are autistic and suffers from acquired brain injury, however, they are also a bubbly and social person who wants to brighten up everybody’s day and possesses a great amount of self-mockery.
One can say being expressive is perhaps not what an ‘autistic person’ is known for, however, expressiveness is actually Rosan’s strongpoint. Also, their background in acting always makes for a believable and compelling performance.
In regards to their abilities – since they are more than their disabilities – they have become an actor and has acted in several plays, music videos, tv-commercials and short films. They have also had catwalk training and some catwalk experience. The most experience however has been acquired during photoshoots for which they have been trained mostly by the Dutch photographer Richard Beukelaar. A photographer to whom physical movement (dance movements), emotional expression and self-love is one of the most important factors for a truly captivating photo.
From a creative aspect Rosan has much to add to a project due to their fine sense of detail and a mindset in which ‘good’ is never good enough. How to truly translate a story; always taking continuity into account; being more than just ‘beautiful’ daring to show the beauty within the flaws and having an endless motivation to make the client happy.
Rosan loves to go horseriding, climbing, running, cycling and mountain biking. They have won a Dutch science award (Parel – ZonMW) in 2021 for their work in promoting a more inclusive society in regard to youth with mental health issues. Furthermore, they have written two books, they love to draw, paint, write songs and has a special interest in guarding continuity when on set.
And last but not least, Rosan truly lacks the talent of being brief and to the point.
