Olivia Sidhu is a model with Down Syndrome who lives in Sydney Australia. She is the eldest of 4with three younger brothers. She works as a Health Ambassador for Down Syndrome Australia whereshe helps educate health professionals to include people with DS in their own health conversations,focusing on their health outcomes.
As part of this responsibility, she has been given opportunities to present to medical students and helpthem understand how to include people with DS in conversations about their health.
In 2023 she was chosen to speak and represent Down Syndrome Australia at the United Nations inNew York at the Convention On ‘The Rights Of Persons With Disabilities’. She spoke and did fourpresentations on two panels, one in the General Assembly and another one at the AustralianConsulate.
She has been involved in a committee which has had discussions with the government about theestablishment of the Centre of Excellence which recently opened in 2023.
In 2021 she had the opportunity to model for Tommy Hilfiger - Adaptive Range, for The Iconic and in2023 featured in the Celebrate T21 book. She loves working in front of the camera.
In November 2021 she started her current part-time employment job at SJB Architecture firm in Surryhills, Sydney. She is an Administrative Assistant and a Social and Library Coordinator.
She has been interviewed twice by the ABC about her employment, in November 2021 and inSeptember 2023.
