BIOGRAPHY
Kaia Scholl is an Australian athlete/model/actor currently based in Brisbane.
Kaia was born with Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency and as a result has a significantly shortened right leg. Above knee prosthetic leg worn for mobility (right side). Kaia had her first professional photoshoot at the end of last year just to try a new experience and absolutely loved it.
Sport is her main time occupier outside of work. She's played wheelchair basketball for the Queensland women’s team for the last few years and is the current Para-powerlifting Oceania record holder for her weight class. Although school for her was centred around piano, saxophone and violin, these days playing instruments has settled in the hobby category.
Alongside sport, her work history includes personal training, group fitness for cancer survivors and military veterans, volunteer rural firefighting and (most recently) modelling/acting.
Kaia’s ongoing goals are to finish reading the books she already has before acquiring more; improve her strength; and increase diversity in the media by being a proud, visible representative of mixed-race/LGBTQIA+/disabled communities.
