Juttima Chinnasri is currently based in Sydney.
Juttima is a bilateral below knee amputee and has most part of all her fingers amputated on both hand after surviving Meningococcal Septicaemia in 2018.
Juttima started sharing her survival story and rehabilitation journey on social media in 2019 as she realised that this could work as a form of self-help therapy while helping others at the same time. She wanted to help spreading awareness for Meningococcal disease to save lives and families from going through what she and her family had gone through. She also shared how she navigates her “new” life as an amputee embracing her different body to help others who might be going through the same thing or struggle with body image.
Not long after, she realised that there is not enough representation of people with disability in the media, so she decided to accept the offer and start modelling to promote inclusivity and challenge her introvert self. She hopes to see more representation in Australia and the rest of the world, particularly in Thailand, where she was born and raised till she was 15.
She is currently working full-time as a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) teacher where she works with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds diverse backgrounds. In her free time, she loves listening to music, singing, reading self-help books and spending time with family and friends. She also goes to the gym to keep up with her fitness. She loves learning new skills and learning about other people. She also likes to find creative inspirations online and hoping to travel the world to find more inspirations soon.
Juttima has modelled for many well-known brands in Australia including Toyota, BONDS and Big W. She has also walked the runway at Australian Fashion Week for JAM The Label and Dyspnea. Juttima also had the opportunity to walk at Bangkok International Fashion Week for Greyhound Original. She is currently an ambassador for Women’s Best.
